Harmons is Hiring a Cheese Sales Manager Near Santa Clara, UT

$53,952.40 PER YEAR - Bonus EligibleGENERAL PURPOSE:The purpose of this position is to sell Harmons’ specialty cheese items by giving remarkable customer service and ensuring the department maintains quality standards and profitability. This person will maintain product levels of all products in the specialty cheese department. This person will have a passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with our associates and customers. This person will train and mentor all cheese associates and know all aspects of the department. This person will also determine production and inventory levels for the specialty cheese department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the quality and freshness of all products and services the specialty cheese department providesEnsures the department is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearanceResponsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the departmentConfirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad itemsDelivers excellent customer service to all customersOrders product, creates production sheets to meet needs based on past and projected salesCuts, wraps, shreds, and packages all types of cheeses for presentation and sale in the specialty cheese department and leads others to maintain the same standardsSamples cheeses to customers and sells cheeses and productsMakes fresh mozzarella, parmesan crisps, and other production items.Stocks and sets up olive bar and oil stationDetermines how much of each cheese should be pre-cut and packagedResponsible for inventory and ordering for the departmentSlices meats and cheeses to order, provides product suggestions, and assists customers with special ordersCommunicates openly and frequently with Store Director, Director of Specialty Cheese, and other support staffEnsures company standards for safety, sanitation, service, and productivity are maintainedTeaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the teamProvides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement; assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc.Promptly addresses and resolves associates' concerns and/or grievancesWrites the cheese department schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goalsContinually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused, and consistentQuarterly inventory of all specialty cheese department productsMARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other job-related duties as assigned.NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Consistent and daily interaction with store associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customersTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
