Haren Construction Company is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Mobile, AL

Project Title: Stickney WTP Reservoir Improvements
Location: Mobile, Alabama
Project Timeline: Winter 2024
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM with overtime opportunitiesPay Range: $25/hr based on experience

Company Overview:
Haren Construction Company, Inc. specializes in water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and commercial and industrial types of construction.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Safely and productively operate equipment on the project site.
  • Aid in diagnosing equipment failures to ensure safety, cost efficiency, and production.
  • Ensure and conduct minor maintenance of equipment, including monitoring and maintaining appropriate fluid levels, fueling, and greasing of equipment being operated.
  • Conduct manual labor, i.e., shoveling and using hand tools as needed in order to complete project assignments.
  • Be able to understand and work within company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activities, for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs., stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above the shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least six months of commercial construction experience.
  • Prior experience operating equipment such as track hoes, dozers, loaders, forklifts, and excavators.
