QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a high school graduate, have trade school certification, or GED Equivalent.
Ten (10) years of experience in property/grounds keeping and routine maintenance of heavy equipment is preferred.
Must have knowledge of effective operation of heavy equipment, effective precautionary measures to avoid accidents, hazards involved in the use of heavy equipment and precautions to be taken.
Must have knowledge of methods and equipment used in building service tasks.
Must have knowledge of yard equipment and tools, occupational hazards, and safety precautions to avoid accidents.
Must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Must have agility sufficient to do strenuous labor tasks under varying weather conditions.
Performs work requiring strength, works continuously while standing, and learns to operate maintenance equipment.
Must be skilled in operation of heavy equipment.
Must possess a valid Class A Alabama Commercial Driver's License.
Must be insurable as determined by MCPSS personnel into private and business driving records within any three-year time frame.
