Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is Hiring a HOST/HOSTESS - TERRACE Near Atlantic, NJ
Overview:
It is the primary responsibility of the host position to be friendly and courteous, while greeting, seating and engaging the guests during their dining experience.
Responsibilities:
Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest’s name when possible
Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times
Maintain complete knowledge of the menu offerings
Escort guest to their table
Communicate clearly to management and other host to ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell
Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently
Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
Anticipate guests service needs, engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
Notify management of maintenance repair issues
Complete any additional reasonable requests by management
Rotate seating between 7 rooms to ensure even workloads while using technology (Computers, iPads, etc.)
Qualifications:
Minimum six (6) months of related experience required
Able to work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Be flexible and adaptable to change.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional kitchen setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
