Summary Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the timely and effective repair of plant electronics systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair control circuits on production machinery, motor control centers, Delta V and other batch control systems, motor termination, process instrument installation and calibration, communications systems, structural wiring and lighting.
Knowledge of wiring devices and techniques used in Class 1, Group D is required. Must be familiar with electronic measurement tools including multimeter, current probe, Hart communicator, process instrument calibrator and simulator.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education and / or Experience One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
