The Head of Clinical Operations will oversee the healthcare services provided by Harbor Health. This role will be responsible for meeting the strategic, financial, and customer goals, objectives, and OKRs associated with the following departments: clinics, call center, quality, referrals, triage, telemedicine, and population health.

Our Head of Clinical Operations will be responsible for:

• Collaborating and work with the Head of Primary Care, APP and Nursing with the creation and implementation of clinical policies and processes. Be a trusted clinical operations advisor to internal peers and partners.
• Providing strategic leadership, direction, design and implementation of clinical operations strategic and organizational initiatives. 
  • Build and foster a collaborative, positive and results driven culture across all clinics and operations functions within Harbor Health
  • Responsible for managing within the Department’s P&L
  • Oversees scheduling and productivity requirements to meet Harbor’s financial goals
  • Provides adequate infrastructure and strong processes within which to conduct service delivery
  • Leads quality improvements and ensures regulatory readiness
  • Ensures excellent member satisfaction and experience scores
  • Ensure cascading of organizational milestones and OKRs in an effective performance management system
  • Ensure on-schedule delivery of chronic disease management and other programs
  • Design and implement new services 
  • Communicate with clinicians and care teams to assure the highest quality of care is being delivered and maintained
  • Achieve operational efficiencies for our clinical team to optimize contribution margin and strategic objectives
  • Keen focus on service delivery, integration and alignment
    • Resolve escalated member grievances in a timely and satisfactory fashion
    • Ensure member-facing roles (front desk, contact center, etc.) are providing excellent customer service
    • Ensure knowledge and clinical compliance of current legal, regulatory and compliance issues
    • Monitors performance and profitability of services offered
• Serves as an expert resource for Clinical Operations methodology and project management
• Oversee the hiring and onboarding initiatives for all of clinic operations teams in coordination with the Regional Practice Manager and Human Capital

Successful Head of Clinical Operations will have:

• 10 years of progressive leadership & management experience 
• A track record of achieving results based on objective performance measures
• Proven ability to lead in healthcare management with project management, process improvement and delivering strategic business outcomes
• Strong knowledge in healthcare operations with demonstrating depth in date driven decisions 
• Strong financial and practice management capabilities
• Demonstrated expertise in project management, clinical operations and resource management
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Public Health

Additional Skills & Experiences Preferred include:

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Public Health

Physical Requirements of the role include:

• Travel 50% of time (including locally in Austin to clinic sites)
