The Senior IT Project Manager - Remote is a critical function within the Project Management Office. This person is part of the project delivery cycle of the PMO and must understand and work within the established methodologies, policies, and procedures to successfully deliver complex projects.

Your Impact
    Provide direction and leadership to all resources in the performance of project assignments and activities.
  • Determine project scope and guide development of detailed requirements, based on a thorough understanding of the business goals and objectives, as well as user needs.
  • Guide development and monitoring of project budgets that include necessary capital expenditures, operational expenses, and labor requirements. Perform analyses and recommend allocation of program resources to promote efficient and effective usage and performance.
  • Build timelines and develop detailed project schedules, prepare meeting minutes/agendas, track all project action items to successful completion, and regularly report status of project to varying levels of stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and lead identification and development of mitigation plans to minimize the impact of risks if they trigger.
  • Build and maintain a thorough RAID log throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to ensure thorough planning of design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
  • Maintain adherence to the established IT Project Governance framework and SDLC from project initiation to completion, while utilizing the appropriate project methodology (primarily waterfall).
  • Lead application of quality standards to all aspects of a project, including planning, execution, and documentation. Ensure project team members understand and apply quality practices in planning and execution of the project.
  • Identify and coordinate solutions to complex problems considering resources, human and system capacity, and limitations.
  • Effectively communicate and work with business users, analysts, project leads, developers, and all levels of management across the enterprise in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS level education or equivalent in a related field plus a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in enterprise technology platforms, infrastructure, software development and business application implementations is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office products. Experience with one or more industry standard PPM tools (e.g. PlanView, MS Project Server, CA Technologies) is a plus.
  • Experience in project delivery of technology solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience at building detailed dependency-based project schedules using MS Project is required.
  • Experience communicating with cross-functional teams and being the champion for business technology projects.
  • Experience with Waterfall project methodology is required with knowledge in and of other methodologies expected. Practical experience in Agile or hybrid methodologies is expected.
  • Strong planning, communication (both in-person and via remote technology), negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, have strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills to ensure all established deadlines are achieved.
  • Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, a high drive to succeed, and be a problem solver.
  • Applicant must have a positive attitude towards change and be able to identify the need, remove the barriers, and make things happen. Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people.
  • Understanding of organizational change management discipline and how it is applied in project management. Practical experience with developing and implementing OCM plans is expected.
  • Large-scale ERP implementation project management experience a plus.
  • Technology project management in a health-care environment a plus.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.

Pay range of $111,500 to $135,000 annual bonus: up to 10% of base pay depending on bonus criteria. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
