Description

This role is responsible for ensuring production is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedules. Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor provides effective training to the department and ensures safety and quality standards are always maintained. Will plan, organize, and recommend strategies in ensuring that product is developed successfully, in accordance with all specifications.

Requirements

• Effectively oversees the day-to-day planning, scheduling, and coordinating the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives.
• Actively makes decisions regarding workloads and priorities based on incoming orders, due dates, and capacity.
• Collaborates with the Senior Production manager and team members to make sure all projects are completed efficiently and within good quality standards.
• Produces results through continuous improvement methodologies and provide impact through cost reduction programs, quality improvements, and safety of work environment.
• Executes and coordinates employee training and process enhancements.
• Uses basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the department. 
• Ensures quality standards are met that emphasize and focus on continuous improvement to improve manufacturing capability and reduce rework and scrap.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• The candidate should be able to work independently and understand how adjustments need to be made on the production floor continually during the day. 
• Communicates one-on-one with direct reports to keep them motivated and informed of their progress and/or opportunities for improvement.

Experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job. 

• Minimum 1 year experience in Production Management 
• Exceptionally technically competent with a proven capacity to become a subject matter expert (SME) within the given role.
• Outstanding analytical skills: ability to extract, analyze and interpret data appropriately.
• Cultivate relationships across functions to achieve business objectives and drive strategic change.
• Must have proven leadership ability, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with all levels of management.
• Ability to supervise (directly and indirectly) 12 - 20 employees.
• Works overtime and/or varied shifts as necessary. 
• Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations. 
• Bilingual skills a plus
• A "can-do" attitude with a strong team player ethic is essential.
