Graphic Designer


We are looking for a full-time, experienced and self-motivated
Graphic Designer to join our Creative Services Team toproduce creative visual assets for Hampton Products and its many brands. The Graphic Designer will develop high-level original print & package design assets from concept through final production art, social media & tradeshow art, motion & video graphic assets, and digital photography manipulated imagery.

Hampton Products, located in south Orange County, CA, is a privately-owned, middle-market branded consumer products designer, developer, and marketer of innovative products in the security hardware, decorative hardware, storm and screen door hardware, and automotive accessories categories.

Main responsibilities will be to:
Design and produce both static and motion graphic digital assets for all marketing, sales, and general Hampton needs.
Design product packaging prototypes and mock-ups.
Develop illustrations, animation, and icons for creative brand assets.
Maintain and safeguard brand standards, style guides and design language. Execute design direction provided by Creative Services Director.
Contribute to organization policy of digital files for all projects through Digital Asset Management (Hampton DAM)
Participate in establishing production execution standards that maximize quality and accuracy while minimizing costs and cycle times.
Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of current design (software) tools and techniques to ensure best practice design / communication materials, efficient and cost-effective production.
Collaborate with the Creative Services Director to research and identify production alternatives including AI that provide cost savings and/or increased efficiencies.
Contribute to the development, layout, proofing, and production of printed packaging. Typical projects can include coordinating the packaging graphics, sales collateral, film, labels, and corrugated materials.
Stay abreast of design and media delivery/production trends and software innovations.

The successful candidate will have the following
:
Bachelor's degree in visual communication, or graphic design (or related); and no less than 5 years of progressive experience working in a design studio, ad agency, or in-house creative department; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Consumer goods retail experience, preferred.
Good working knowledge of printing and publishing processes, technology, and systems. Knowledge of 4 color workflow and digital prepress required.
Outstanding project management and multi-tasking skills.
Able to adapt to moving priorities and change pace quickly and refocus as needed.

Bilingual (Spanish-English or French-English) is desirable.

Extensive knowledge of design-related software (Adobe Creative Suite) Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat for Mac OSX.
Ability to learn emerging software platforms independently.
Experience preparing computer files for output and upload process for large files size files.
Ability to collaborate with others.
