ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER

The Rooms Division Manager supports in directing and controlling the activities of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Guest Relations to create a special welcoming and memorable experience for our guests.

SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities are to ensure the smooth functions of the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Relations. The Rooms Division Manager reviews daily arrivals, VIPs, special request, group needs, room assignments and coordinates with appropriate departments to meet the needs of guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities

• Ensure that sufficient staffing is present to meet daily business demands.
• Communicate weekly schedules to team
• Maintain consistent and effective flow of communication between shifts among fellow managers and Service Professionals
• Actively provide ongoing training to teams, as needed
• Responsible for actively recruiting and hiring for all Front office and Housekeeping positions
• Approach all encounters with guests, employees and members in a professional and personalized manner
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company policy, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Hotel
• Must have a professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skills whilst encouraging safe and efficient hotel operations
• Understand and communicate promotions and enhancements effectively with Service Professionals and guests
• Assist with additional Front Desk tasks
• Inspecting rooms for cleanliness and ensuring room attendants are cleaning rooms in allotted time.
• Assigning tasks and inspecting the work of Houseperson
• Assigning tasks to laundry attendant and inspecting the operations in the laundry room
• Oversee inventory and ordering supplies and linens for both housekeeping and Front office
• Complete projects in a timely manner as required by the General Manager .
• Be able to participate proficiently in functions outside one’s department when called upon.
• Maintain lost & found logs
• Performs other duties as assigned and needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior experience as a Manager is helpful & required.
• To be successful, you will need basic English communication skills.
• Hotels operate 24/7, therefore you must be able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, turn and lift boxes, which average around 35-50 pounds each.
