About The Role: Inventory Specialist
What You Will Do:
The Inventory Specialist is the front line of our inventory management, tasked with making sure our production BOMs are accurate, inventory is accounted for and in correct locations, and driving continuous improvement both in purchasing & on the production floor. Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels through analysis and improving reporting. This is an on-site role at Hamilton's Milford facility.
General and Task Management:
  • Responsible for forecasting the inventory needs of the business.
  • Works closely with manufacturing to communicate the needs of the business.
  • Assists Finance Department with Cycle Counts, Inventory Control, and reconciliations.
  • Bring new product needs/ideas forward through the Purchasing team.
  • Forecasts for future inventory based on historical buys, reoccurring buys, and current inventory levels (will also be issuing POs).
  • Review stock-to-usage ratios and respond to changing sales trends to ensure proper inventory.
  • Coordinates inventory flow-through to each department & proper part location.
  • Track existing product categories and proactively check/correct production BOMs.
  • Strategic reviews of vendors & purchasing history.
  • Help develop new reporting to improve our visibility & tracking for purchasing & inventory management.

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems such as Kanban and skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with 6S and Lean.
