Responsibilities

The Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) is responsible for Hamilton Medical, Inc.’s (HMI) clinical support and education efforts in the North American market. The CAS works under the direction of the Clinical Operations Manager to support customers, regional sales managers, dealer representatives, independent representatives, and clinicians. A key result of this position will be positive exposure of HMI in the world marketplace and achievement of growth and turnover goals via clinical and technical support to customers. Preferred candidate should reside in Austin, Texas or San Antonio, Texas.

• Perform associated duties that represent HMI and HMI products in the marketplace. Includes serving as a resource on clinical practices to all HMI customers and personnel and efficiently and effectively using resources in meeting customer expectations and performing job responsibilities.
• Assist the Clinical Operations Manager with the production of key account seminars, presentations, and programs to promote company products, services, and technologies.
• Provide technical and application assistance to the HMI sales and service teams.
• Attend and participate in trade shows, seminars, and company sales and service meetings.
• Accumulate competitive information and distribute data to marketing to assist in sales and marketing strategies.
• Assess the educational needs of HMI customer’s, plan for and facilitate in-service and continuing education opportunities in collaboration with the Clinical Operations Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the type and clinical application of equipment and services provided by HMI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Willing to travel.
• Physical and mechanical aptitude to be able to install ventilators and other HMI products.

Education/Experience

• Registered Respiratory Therapist / Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
• Minimum of three years of critical care experience in the Respiratory Care field required.
• Minimum of two 2 years of in-service education or clinical support experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, AA degree required.
