Team Leader –Water and Wastewater Utilities – Austin, TX

Halff has a position open for a Water and Wastewater Utilities Team Leader in our Austin, TX location. The successful candidate should be community-minded with the capacity to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of young engineers, make independent decisions, resolve complex problems, engage in business development and client management. Halff is looking for someone to lead the way in growing this practice in the Austin market. This position requires a strong technical background working with public utilities, districts, and authorities. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage personnel, budgets, schedules, sub consultants and client interaction. The candidate will also assist regional business development activities including proposal preparations and client presentations. Team Leaders are expected to be active in their profession and contribute to developing the careers of the employees on their team.

• PE license in Texas.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
• 15 years of experience to support Water/Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, design, planning, and construction
• Water/Wastewater treatment and pumping experience, is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience managing project teams and personnel
• A team player with a focus on quality, integrity and success.
