Haley Ward is looking for a BIM Project Coordinator who will provide technical guidance for current and upcoming BIM projects. This position is accountable for the technical, production, accurate/quality results of those projects as they relate to managing the BIM.

What you can expect to be doing:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project management activities assigned by BIM/CAD Manager. May include project setup, such as file structure, model files required to start scope, Revit systems, sheets, renderings, and/or marketing material
  • Work directly with clients with their deliverables, assist/recommend equipment needs and discuss their visions for specific project
  • Maintain a high degree of quality for deliverables, accuracy, and thoroughness. Monitor new/entry level employees’ work for errors
  • Function in a team environment with technicians, designers, managers, and other stake holders.
  • As the ‘leader’ of their ‘pod’, assist and guide BIM/CAD Technicians and Designers with their assigned tasks
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry related standards relating to BIM/CAD project delivery
  • Coordinate, direct and assist in the review of BIM/CAD projects
  • Maintain a working knowledge of relevant mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, building codes and construction technologies
  • Assist in creating BIM/CAD standards and strategies for company best practices
  • Collaborate on the integration of BIM/CAD into workflow or other project delivery tools

Working Conditions

  • Work is typically performed in an office setting.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

What you will need to succeed:

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years production experience in design, drafting or engineering in the AEC industry.
  • MEP designer and or designer familiar with the demands of MEP design
  • Experience with duct systems, electrical, plumbing, and piping layouts and designs
  • Knowledge of typical project workflows and collaboration with other team consultants
  • Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current Revit and AutoCAD versions with emphasis on project setup, including Navisworks Manage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to read, analyze, understand, and interpret design and construction documents
  • Intermediate computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, FTP sites, file transfers, etc.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations, using laser measuring tools
  • Ability to layout and interpret complex construction projects to virtual programs
  • Ability to prepare and compile comprehensive 3D models
  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in virtual modeling in the construction industry. Architectural, mechanical and construction engineering education and/or ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing documents to transform to 2-D and 3-D modeling using current Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP or similar programs
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Architecture or related fields. Industry or software certifications a plus
