The North America OTC team supports the development of new OTC drug products for North American Consumer Healthcare brands. Analytical sciences is a specialized discipline providing support for new product development, by developing, validating and transferring state-of-the-art robust methods that enable the growth of the Consumer Health Business.

This role's primary job function is to follow established procedures and methodologies in analytical chemistry for the chemical and physical testing of products under development. This role has a growing familiarity with aspects of HPLC and GC and basic laboratory skills.

Role Responsibilities

  • Has a working knowledge of basic chemistry and laboratory techniques.

  • Has a working knowledge of GMP requirements and site policies & procedures.

  • With minimal supervision, executes all technical aspects of analytical chemistry including the development, validation and transfer of analytical methods.

  • * Performs analytical testing (chemical and physical) in support of the development of new OTC products with minimal supervision.

  • Follows documentation policies and practices when recording and documenting scientific work.

  • Recognizes atypical data and performs investigation to determine root cause with minimal supervision.

  • Capable of troubleshooting moderately difficult instrumentation issues and solving moderately complex analytical problems.

  • Performs peer reviews of scientific data and reports. Works with colleague to resolve any identified issues in a timely manner.

  • Interfaces with internal and external partners such as Formulations and Quality

  • Serve as the Analytical leader for simple to moderately complex projects.

  • Adept and flexible at working in a dynamic lab environment on multiple projects.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • PhD Degree with 1 years of relevant analytical experience

  • MS Degree with 5 years of relevant analytical experience

  • BS Degree with 7 years of relevant analytical experience

  • Experience with HPLC, GC and/or dissolution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A passion for science is essential given the critical importance of technical expertise for the success of the organization.

  • Pharmaceutical industry laboratory experience

  • Analytical method development and validation experience
