With a focus on continuing the growth of Maryhill Museum of Art as an inclusive topnotch institution, the incoming Executive Director & CEO will collaborate with the Board, Staff, and local, regional and national partners, to deliver continued excellence and engagement. The museum is renowned for its collections that include American, European and American Indian works of art. Its exhibitions, programs and activities receive regional, national, and at times, international attention. The immediate park surrounding the museum offers stunning vistas, informal gardens, a sculpture park, and a Lewis and Clark Overlook and garden. The museum is on the National Register and is a recognized site of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail.
The Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the museum providing institutional leadership in developing innovative programming, visioning strategic organizational alignment and financial planning with the Board of Trustees and staff to ensure the museum’s mission is met. The Executive Director has the authority to administer the operations of the museum; reports to and works with the Board of Trustees on policymaking and fundraising, oversight and all museum activities, and financial management.
The Executive Director ensures that the museum maintains a high level of professionalism in all areas. The Executive Director works with and supervises the Senior Management team that includes the Operations and Project Manager, Curator of Exhibitions, Curator of Education, and Finance Manager.

Salary range: $100,000 - $140,000 annually benefits.
Maryhill Museum of Art was incorporated in 1923 and dedicated by Queen Marie of Romania in 1926. It opened to the public in 1940, and since that time has been a major cultural and arts resource, tourist attraction and historical Northwest landmark, welcoming 20,000 to 30,000 regional, national and international visitors annually. It is open daily, March 15 through November 15. It is closed to the public during the winter at which time exhibit work and building maintenance are done. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, governed by an elected 16-member board of trustees, has a full-time staff of eight, and an average annual operating budget of around $1.2 million. Support for the museum comes from a wide variety of donors in addition to its earned income.
