Supervisor- Pit/Quarry Operations

We are a busy family-owned excavation and paving company. We are looking to hire a reliable Supervisor in our Pit/Quarry to join the Hagar team. As the Supervisor of our Pit/Quarry, you must be reliable, responsible, committed to working safely and be motivated to do their best with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• The Pit/Quarry Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily task of production requirements in regard to safety, quality, productivity and maintenance.
• Functions will include repairs / maintenance of the equipment.
• Ordering parts and supplies as needed and daily production reporting.
• Communicating with manager, production / maintenance teams to ensure successful daily operations.
• Maintaining proper material quality and inventory levels of material to meet demand.
• Occasionally will be required to operate mobile equipment.
•  Maintain a safe, clean and environmentally compliant operation.
• A strong background in aggregate operations with an emphasis on leadership and proactive maintenance / repair skills are needed to be successful in this role.
• This position requires the ability to work safely and efficiently in a multi-tasking environment. Hands on experience and knowledge of crushers, screens, pumps, haul trucks and loaders is required.

Work Conditions / Physical Demands:

· Normally standing with freedom of movement on a regular basis.· Must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.· Work will occur outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather conditions such as rain, ice, snow and heat.· Will often be required to work long hours · Regular physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting
