Hadco Metal Trading Co., LLC distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and engineering grade plastics. Hadco products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes waterjet, band saws, disc plate saws, and shears. 

Hadco Metal Trading branches are located strategically in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Philadelphia, Texas, and Washington, with transfer stations located throughout the East, Midwest and West allowing a nationwide presence and coverage.

Summary: 

As a Saw Machine Operator, you will be responsible for cutting aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys to meet customer specifications. Strong math and measuring skills are required.

Work Schedule:  Sunday-Wednesday OR Wednesday-Saturday

Role & Responsibilities: 

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. 
• Ability to work with quality inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and perform basic dimensional tolerances. 
• Monitor machine operation for continued accuracy throughout cutting processes. 
• Continually measure work piece dimensions to assure constant specification accuracy throughout machine operation. 
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece. 
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces. 
• Assist equipment operators in set-up of machine. 
• Work directly with Production Manager to ensure customer delivery requirements are met. 
• Prioritize workload to meet customer requirements and company performance goals. 

Requirements

• Ability to perform math calculations, including fractions and decimals. 
• Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and/or calipers. 
• Ability to read and write in English. 
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch. 
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
• Familiar with basic computer ERP systems. 
• Minimum18 years of age.
