Description

Hadco Metal Trading distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and mechanical grade plastics. 

Hadco Metal Trading branches are located strategically in New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and California with transfer stations located throughout the East, Midwest and West allowing a nationwide presence and coverage. 

Summary:

Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports for multiple Hadco Metal Trading stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Use data analysis techniques to support business objectives, primarily through the creation of reports and dashboards and analyzing their results.
  • Obtain understanding and access to data sources relevant to assigned projects.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, transforming and cleansing it, to enable unified reporting.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and business partners within the organization regarding data driven projects. 
  • Document end-to-end processes and observations. 
  • Utilize tools and techniques to enhance use of data for decision making, insights and audit.
  • Participate in data analytics projects to support larger accounting / audit related initiatives. 
  • Various Projects as needed.

Requirements

Base Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience analyzing data and creating reports.
  • Extensive experience with data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL and PowerBI.
  • Must be a "power user" with Excel.
  • Experience working on data projects, leveraging the data to reach conclusions and develop solutions to business challenges. 
  • Strong data analysis skills – querying databases, extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree demonstrating skills in quantitative methods.
  • (Preferred) Experience with Microsoft ERP systems (Business Central / NAV).
  • (Preferred) Basic knowledge of finance/accounting, including COAs and Jes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide status updates.

Additional Requirements:

  • Overtime or weekend work or on-call will be required from time to time. 
  • Responsibilities subject to change with technology and corporate strategies.
