What you’ll do:

• Plan, build, and release product features
• Contribute to the evolution of our microservice-based system architecture as we scale
• Improve CI/CD pipeline to push the boundaries of development efficiency
• Enhance code quality and consistency throughout the system
• You'll report to the Senior Engineering Manager

Tech we use:

• Front End (React, TypeScript)
• Core Site (Ruby on Rails)
• Platform/APIs (golang, SQL (Postgres)) 
• Infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Terraform, and Github)

We are looking for:

• 5 or more years expertise in implementing product features in a secure, maintainable, scalable way, specifically experienced in Ruby
• Understanding of the principles of Ruby on Rails design patterns and architecture
• Experience with microservice-based systems
• Desires good code quality, thought through test coverage, and other software engineering best practices
• The ability to improve team culture through dialog, mentorship, code reviews, and striking up a conversation from time to time
• Engagement with product management and customer support to understand the problems you are solving for our clients so you can make product features that matter
• High level of execution in a remote-first, startup environment where you can be curious, take ownership and help each other
• Cybersecurity interest or experience

This is a remote (work from home) position for candidates based in the United States. We do have offices in Pittsburgh, PA and Raleigh, NC if working in an office is your jam.
