Your position will focus on running our Accounts Payable and Payroll, supporting and training employees, maintaining positive relationships with vendors, and more.The ideal candidate will have an upbeat, can-do demeanor and a passion for providing excellent customer service and sharing their wealth of knowledge.   • A salary in the range of $74,000 -$77,000 per year with a generous benefits package.
This position's primary responsibilities include: 
  • Process accounts payable and credit card activity. Ensuring coding and costs are tracked correctly across different accounts, programs and funds.
  • Process bi-weekly check runs and weekly bank deposits.
  • Maintain AP and Payroll schedules, performing reconciliations and payroll processing.
  • Provide training and support to employees on AP, credit card, and documentation processes.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners to resolve issues related to AP and payroll.
  • Process and file 1099 and 1096 forms annually.
  • Perform account analysis, journal entries, and reconcile general ledger accounts to assist in the monthly closing process.
Our ideal candidate must have: 
  • A minimum of three years of accounting experience is required.
  • Experience with Accounts Payable and Payroll is required.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and a willingness to research accounting standards.
  • Ability to review economic activity and translate it into journal entries.
  • A full understanding of the chart of accounts and maintenance.
  • Time management and organization skills, with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the strictest confidence.
  • Committed to DEIA concepts and embraces inclusiveness of a variety of perspectives and cultures.
It would be great if you also have: 
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Familiarity with an organization with multiple operating entities or divisions
  • Background in nonprofits and/or real estate
  • Familiarity with Abila MIP Fund Accounting, Microix, and Paylocity.
  • The ability to speak, write, and understand Spanish.

PAY:

The salary and wage range Hacienda advertises for the position means that the starting pay offered to the candidate will fall within the range posted. We recognize that each candidate brings with them a unique combination of experiences, education, skills, and abilities; therefore, the offer will be tailored to the individual.

A bilingual Spanish premium of up to 3% is available after 90 days upon successful completion of a language assessment. (According to policy, even if language is not required or preferred, a person can get a 1% increase).
