H4 Enterprises LLC, a Government Contracting Company is seeking an Independent Contractor who is an experienced Proposal Writer to join our team on a part-time, contractor basis. Reporting to the Proposals Director, the Proposal Writer will lead content development and writing for persuasive proposals and bids in response to federal government RFPs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of completing and successfully winning a contract due to their efforts.
- Lead proposal development efforts across dispersed teams, coordinating schedules, assignments, reviews, and virtual collaboration
- Drive RFP review processes, identifying key requirements, compliance matters, Terms & Conditions, evaluation criteria and proposal structuring implications
- Conduct proposal kick-off workshops to educate contributors, define themes, strategic messages, Discriminators, and content requirements
- Perform extensive RFP requirement analyses, mapping responses to evaluation criteria in proposal outlines and cross-reference matrices
- Research markets, customer pain points, and competitor offerings to identify value propositions, discriminators, and demonstrations
- Manage virtual SME interviews, facilitate brainstorming sessions to elicit persuasive content
- Ensure consistent messaging across all proposal volumes, strategically emphasizing discriminators
- Maintain proposal style guides, enforce consistent document formatting, branding, and visual presentation
- Enforce adherence to Shipley methodologies throughout the proposal process
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, compliant and compelling proposal deliverables
- 1-3 years' experience writing proposals for Federal procurements
- Deep expertise with FAR and DFARS regulations
- Exceptional written communication abilities; adept at synthesizing and articulating complex concepts
- Acute attention to detail; highly organized
- Bachelor's degree required, Technical or Business Writing Master's preferred
- Proficient using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, proposal automation tools
- APMP or related Proposal Management certification
- Active Federal level personal clearance at Secret Level or above.
- Strong knowledge about the industry including competitors and market trends
