H&L Dentistry is looking for an additional Part-Time BILINGUAL Dental Assistant II with experience to join our growing team. We seek someone with great attention to detail, organized and good working ethics that sees dental assisting as a career. Recent dental assistant graduates are welcomed, we're willing to train.

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience as a DAII comfortable with making impressions, FMX, Pano, extractions and general proficiency.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is required for this position
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Current CPR certification required
• DAII Certifications required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• Possess a professional and positive attitude and desire to grow professionally
• 2 Previous job references
• Background check and drug test are required
• Covid-19 fully vaccinated per CDC guidelines

Main Responsibilities:

• Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history
• Assist dentist by handling supplies and instruments as requested
• Make impressions when needed
• Assist in different range procedures that include Operative, Fixed Prosthodontics, Extractions, in office whitening and Root Canal Treatment. Little to no pediatrics.
• Prepare tables and trays for dentist with necessary instruments and supplies
• Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed
• Take, expose, and mount high quality dental radiographs
• Ensure appropriate supply of equipment and materials
• Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist
• Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room
• Willing to assist other staff members when needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
