Gunnison Valley Health is Hiring a Rad Tech, XRay Tech - Gunnison Valley Orthopedics Near Gunnison, CO

Provide technical skills for orthopedic clinic x-rays; produces and processes images of various parts of human anatomy to assist orthopedic surgeon in diagnosis and treatment of musculo-skeletal injuries; sets proper exposure factors and properly positions patient to achieve diagnostic quality utilizing ALARA guidelines. Operates a diversified combination of technical equipment and software. Must be registered be a limited scope operator in the state of Colorado or registered/registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiographer.

Position Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology or certified as a Limited Scope Operator in Colorado

Experience: Entry-level position for radiographer with no minimum level of experience needed.

Licenses/Certifications: ARRT certified/registry eligible radiographer OR Limited Scope Operator in the state of Colorado and maintenance of current CPR or BLS.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and ability to perform all procedures in the online department radiologic procedure manual
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records
  • Knowledge of special orthopedic positions for MSK radiographs
  • Establish continuous Quality Improvement standards within the department
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use CPSI/RIS/INTERAD PACS system
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate all radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment in the department

Shift – Days

Status - Full Time

Compensation: $26.72 - $37.40/hour DOE (evening, night and weekend shift differential pay)

Full Time staff are automatically enrolled in 401A plan as of date of hire.

Life and AD&D insurance: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.

Short-term and long-term disability: All active employees working 60 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.
