The Manager, Client Strategy is an integral leader of the Client Strategy team, responsible for partnering with regional Sales leadership to achieve regional revenue goals, leading the regional team in the Deal Response stage of the sales cycle to close opportunities, as well as ensuring regional oversight in high-value and key opportunities, partnering with sales as a strategic advisor.
The Manager works cross-functionally across GumGum’s Growth Team to create/improve processes and build knowledge to drive recommendations that address the client’s needs and objectives, and position GumGum to partner effectively with the client on each potential campaign. The Manager is also responsible for the growth and development of all the team members of the region, leading initiatives within the team more broadly, and ensuring a manageable workload with quality outputs from the team.
Success in this position requires the ability to manage internal stakeholders and understand client needs to develop lasting relationships with brands, by crafting solutions that match needs to GumGum’s breadth of offerings by way of storytelling and ensuring organizational alignment. This role will operate in a fast-paced environment and requires strong project management and presentation skills, and strong knowledge about the full campaign cycle.
Measures of success for this role include regional RFP Win Rate, Average Deal Size, Closed Deal Value (i.e., value of won RFPs), New Business Win Rate, and quality of partnership (to Sales), as well as the growth of direct reports and the region.
Note: GumGum currently operates in a ‘work from home’ virtual environment with sporadic opportunities for in-person business and morale events (health guidelines permitting). There will not be any requirement to go into the office on a daily basis moving forward. however we are seeking to hire this person in the NYC area.

At GumGum, competitive base pay is a part of a total rewards package which also includes benefits, an emphasis on recognition, development, and wellness. The reasonable estimated base pay range for this role is from ($107,000 - $130,000) annually. The actual amount may be higher or lower. Individual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant qualifications, work location, and labor market conditions.
The total rewards package offered also includes an employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan, and depending on the role, participation in a bonus, commission, or stock incentive program.
