Overview:
The Branch Manager is the primary sales branch contact for the small business market segment and takes responsibility for acquiring new and developing existing member relationships. Directs and coordinates branch activities personally and through branch staff to attain branch goals, including sales, customer service, proper credit quality, operational and overall branch profitability. Maintains business and community relationships in the local area.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in various civic, social and community affairs to increase the Credit Union’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities within the assigned market.
• Profiles new and existing members to discover their business and personal goals in order to provide solutions to match their current and future needs. Proactively identifies business member opportunities and fulfills their needs or refers the member to other specialized external business partners.
• Acquires and develops small and mid-sized business member relationships by proactively developing business and community relationships within the assigned market. Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
• Plans, coordinates and monitors the overall activities and operations of a full-service branch office, including tracking and monitoring sales and member performance against established plans and objectives.
• Proactively plans, controls and directs branch activities towards attaining branch goals. Prepares a calling plan and prospective profile for each new business prospect in conjunction with a strategic business development program.
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; evaluates performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws
• Monitors the security of MSR or Teller cash drawers, night depository, ATM's and vault to ensure cash and near cash assets of the credit union and the transaction records are protected.
• Maintains communications with Chief Retail Officer; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Two to five years of similar or related management experience within a financial institution. Working knowledge of branch management procedures. Broad knowledge of credit union products and services is essential. Demonstrated sales and marketing abilities. Experience in implementing business development programs for credit union or banking products using various techniques including calls to existing customers to maintain and expand banking relationships and calls to prospective clients to develop new business in the designated community. Business financial analysis experience a plus.
• (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
• Proven experience in sales, business development, and profit loss management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor staff.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives.

Pay: $58,570.86 - $73,213.58 per year
