Guiding Light Hospice is Hiring a Marketing/Community Liaison Near San Antonio, TX
Guiding Light Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Marketing/Community Liaison for the San Antonio and surrounding areas. Hospice experience preferred. Responsibilities include development and promotion of hospice programs and services, while maintaining the standards of practice consistent with quality health care and maximizing human, financial, and equipment resources. As a Marketing/Community Liaison you will be expected to:
- Provide counsel to the Hospice regarding needs of the community; program development including personnel needs and financial needs.
- Collaboratively develop and maintain policies specific to new programs.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all local, state, and federal laws relating to marketing of the Hospice.
- Assist in direction of programs through collaboration with, and delegation of responsibility to, administrative and supervisory personnel.
- Partner with the Interdisciplinary Group/Team to support safe and effective patient/family care.
- Establish a public relations program for interpretation of Guiding Light's services and foster good working relations with physicians and community agencies.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Governing Body

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited college/university.
- Experience in the health care field.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay and professional public, the Governing Body, the Advisory Board, and the Medical Director.
- Current driver's license
- Possess reliable transportation with current vehicle insurance
- Willingness to travel
- Working knowledge of community resources. Good interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to work with computers.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Environmental and Working Conditions
- Works under a variety of conditions in facilities and offices; ability to travel locally; ability to work a flexible schedule; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
Physical and Mental Effort
- Sitting is required. Requires the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and the Hospice’s needs. Ability to travel.
