Guidepoint is Hiring a Product Designer (Mid-Senior) Near New York, NY

Overview:

Guidepoint is on a mission of making individuals, businesses, and the world smarter through personalized knowledge-sharing solutions. To support this effort, We‘re looking to bring onboard a senior designer to join our team in New York, NY.​ Each product designer at Guidepoint works in a pod with a product manager, up to 6 engineers, and a QA.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the full product life cycle, from product discovery and hypothesis validation to design, and measurement of features that are being used by our customers. They will own and drive exceptional end-to-end user experience, including contributing to product strategy, running design sprints, and crafting the experience vision and designs across key initiatives.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and other disciplines to define the product roadmaps, set the vision, build and ship your designs.
  • Conduct user research, review behavioral analytics and test to validate product hypotheses and experience direction.
  • Sketch wireframes, prototype the experience and design the fine-grained details of components, interactions, and transitions.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops and solicit feedback on concepts from the pod, stakeholders and fellow designers.
  • Collaborate with other designers to raise the quality bar and continuously improve design processes, principles, and improve our design system.

Skills and Experience you need:

  • You are a mid/senior-level IC with 3-7 years of work experience with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work for digital products and systems, ideally within enterprise/ B2B software or SaaS products. ​
  • A deep understanding of the agile product development process, from problem solving and system modelling, through to detailed UI, visual, and interaction design.
  • Ability to execute foundational, generative/evaluative user research and including analytics to drive decisions and develop product iterations.
  • Ability to step back and see a project’s larger ecosystem, with a focus on solutions that improve not just one feature but the entire user flow.
  • Ability to create polished high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Framer, Invision, and Keynote, or in the browser with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills to help people across the company understand the rationale behind your proposals, and the complex nuances of design problems.
  • An understanding of dependencies between design, front-end and backend technologies and experience using and contributing to our design system
  • Motivated self-starter with experience supporting multiple projects and balancing the needs of different work stream 
  • An inspiring portfolio demonstrating exceptional and innovative product design solutions for end-to-end user journeys that satisfy user needs and business objectives.

What We Offer:

The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000. Base salary may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
