Job Details:

Job Summary:
  • The Director of Staff Development directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Must Haves:
  • Master’s degree required.
  • BLS required.
  • Current North Carolina RN (Registered Nurse) license.
Essential Functions:
  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality objectives/goals.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and initial and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Ensures the department stays focused on its important role in the continuum of care.
  • Oversight of student clinical rotations.
  • Oversight of educational programs to include externships, apprenticeships, and others.
  • Plans educational events to ensure regulatory readiness.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Master's degree required.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • BLS required.
  • Current NC RN License.
Compensation:
  • Base compensation will be commensurate with the experience and skill set of the candidate.
