Guice Smith & Associates is Hiring an Emergency Services (RN) Nurse Manager Near Sanford, NC
Job Specific Essential Functions:
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of clinical care, educational requirements required by NCOEMS and performance improvement processes. Assumes hospital emergency management/preparedness responsibilities for TJC standards.
Assists the Director of the unit with organizing, directing, and supervising the operational functions within the Emergency Department.
Engages in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invests in lifelong learning for staff professional development and assures employees complete required annual competencies.
Maintains own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure. Communicates important information to the Director of the unit and the CNO as needed. This includes policy and procedures are followed:
Safe staffing levels are maintained.
Supplies and equipment are at sufficient levels.
Efficient patient throughput is managed.
As such, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities: Staff development, evidence based clinical practice; personnel resource/productivity management; fiscal management; patient quality, safety and performance improvement; and regulatory compliance.
Required Education:
Associate degree is required.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Required License:
Registered Nurse in North Carolina (or compact state) is required.
Required Certification:
BLS is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS is required within 30 days of hire.
PALS is required within 90 days of hire.
Required Experience:
1-3 years supervisory experience in the ED required.
Compensation:
Base compensation will be commensurate with the experience and skillset of the candidate.
