Position Summary

Guggenheim Investments is seeking an exceptional Fund Accountant to join its Alternative Investments Accounting Team. Reporting to the Head of Fund Accounting, this person will join a highly collaborative team and assist the team with completing the month end financial close process, preparing monthly financial statements, overseeing the fund administrator, assisting in year-end audits, and performing other responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned from time to time

The Fund Accountant role presents an opportunity to be involved in all accounting aspects for private credit, real estate, and equity funds.

The position is located in our New York office.

Essential Job Functions

• Proper accounting and financial reporting for structured product vehicles
• Compliance with legal documents and SEC custody rule by coordinating annual audits for structured product vehicles
• Production of capital statements, holdings reports, and financial statements for investors
• Key collaborator on launching, investing in, and liquidation of structured product vehicles
• Responsible for all fee calculations of structured product vehicles including management fees, admin fees, loan admin fees, incentive, carried interest, and expense reimbursements
• Encourage collaboration between accounting and corporate social responsibility teams
• Manages a small team to ensure deadlines are met and staff are developed

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA Strongly Preferred
• Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical and spreadsheet skills.
• Exposure to investment companies such as hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, CLOs, or similar accounting

Basic Qualifications

• BS/BA required
• 8 years prior public accounting/fund accounting experience in financial services

Salary Details

Annual base salary between $160,000 and $175,000.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
