Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Leads projects and certain plans/programs within the US benefit area. Crafts communications for plans and programs and provides training and guidance to HR Service Center and Business Partner team to ensure team members are provided with accurate responses to inquiries. Administers various employee benefit programs, such as group life, medical, and dental, accident, and disability insurance, wellness, pensions, investments, and savings, oversees the 401(k) plan and Section 125 in coordination with Finance Coordinates procedures to initiate participation in benefit programs such as pensions, disability insurance, medical, and life insurance Responsible for vendor performance (ex/ vendors such as AON, Lincoln, BSwift, Aetna, etc.) and customer service, managing and analyzing data to make improvements in the processes and components of benefits, ensuring compliant and competitive benefit programs Initiates medical and option forms and/or affidavits, arranges for their completion and submission within time limits In partnership with Aon, recommends yearly benefit changes and costing options for open enrollment Conducts benefit surveys and benchmarking projects, implements new benefit programs, arrange and conduct employee information presentations and enrollments Oversees compliance activity ensuring ACA, 5500s, and nondiscrimination testing are completed accurately and timely, including the identification and correction of issues Ensures administration of plans complies with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, and Tax Codes Researches annual lists of present, new, and former pension plan participants for all pertinent data; submit data and documents to the appropriate committee, trustee, or actuary; establish recordkeeping and retrieval methods in compliance with government regulations. Verifies the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs Resolves administrative concerns with the insurance carriers May provide guidance on global plans and governance, serving in a consultative capacity Required Minimum Qualifications Education/Certifications: Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent years of experience Minimum of 5 years progressive HR experience with expertise in benefits, administration, compliance, and vendor relations Skills and Experience: Extensive knowledge of benefit plan designs, implementation strategies, and funding mechanisms for health, welfare, and wellness plans and applicable laws required; Preference given to candidates who have experience/knowledge of international benefit plan designs and considerations, as well as pension plan administration and redesign Strong written and oral communication/ interpersonal skills necessary ,skilled at framing issues around difficult topics, including the ability to effectively communicate with employees across all levels in the organization Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet competing deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and work independently Problem solving, critical thinking, presentation, and influencing skills Vendor management skills Project management experience Demonstrated strong financial and data analysis skills Ability to maintain knowledge of current benefit related governmental regulations Demonstrates high empathy, respect, and ability to maintains confidentiality Ability to synthesize information and draw out key themes, trends, and risks to develop recommendations Ability to develop trusting relationships with business leaders and cross-functional teams Job Environment: Physical Requirements: Standing Occasionally (16-45%) Sitting Frequently (46-100%) Lifting Up to 10lbs without assistance Carrying Up to 10lbs without assistance Walking Occasionally (16-45%) Hearing Ability to detect noises with or without corrective device(s) Vision Clarity of vision, with or without corrective lenses Mental Requirements: Problem Solving Occasionally (16-45%) Making Decisions Ability to make decisions that have a moderate impact Supervise Rarely (0-15%) Interpret Data Occasionally (16-45%) Organize Occasionally (16-45%) Read/Write Frequently (46-100%) Communication Frequently (46-100%) Work Environment High Temperatures Rarely (0-15%) Low Temperatures Rarely (0-15%) Noises Moderate (business office with computers, printers and light office noises) Fumes Exposure Rarely (0-15%) Note: This Job Description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
