Job Description: GSG Talent Solutions is seeking a motivated Contract Specialist I to perform a range of contract development and management tasks. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and skilled in financial oversight and contract administration. The successful candidate will operate under moderate supervision, requiring a blend of independent judgment and team collaboration.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in developing solicitations, contracts, and amendments.
• Monitor and review legislation related to procurement and contracting.
• Track, route, and maintain contract documentation.
• Monitor contract performance, focusing on billing and fiscal compliance.
• Administer billing processes and monitor eligibility.
• Evaluate financial data and review fiscal reports.
• Serve as a liaison with contract providers.
• Participate in procurement and contract-related meetings.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and managing amendments.
• Prepare and distribute reports on contracting and procurement activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience in contract development or evaluation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of contract management practices and administrative procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of clear and concise interaction.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and professionalism.

Additional Requirements:

• Candidates must be located in or able to commute to central Austin, TX for occasional office days.
