A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

A Real Estate Development Manager oversees all phases of the project development including site acquisition, design, permitting, construction, and occupancy. In this role, you are responsible for developing and executing project plans, budgets, and timelines. You manage relationships with funders and ensure compliance with grant requirements. As the Real Estate Development Manager , you assist with the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications. You report regularly to the Board on project status, financial performance, and strategic initiatives. It is also important to collaborate with community stakeholders and foster positive relationships within the Grove Park community that align with the mission of the organization. This is a key leadership role in the company with expectations to manage and mentor a team of leaders within the Real Estate department.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• Master's Degree or relevant professional certifications (CCIM or PMP) is a plus.
• Proven experience in real estate development and project management with leadership experience.
• Mandatory experience in securing funding, managing grants, and working with financial institutions.
• Should have familiarity with real estate laws, regulations, and zoning codes.
• Experience in managing affordable housing development projects.

• Financial skills such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for real estate projects.
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
• Proficiency in project management tools and project timelines.
• Effective problem solver with solutions to address challenges and obstacles that arise on a project.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The position has a hybrid work schedule of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, three (3) days in the office. There is flexibility to work remote from home two (2) days a week.
