Griffith Centers is Hiring an Intervention Specialist Near Colorado, CO

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • CDE License in Special Education generalist.

  • CDE Teaching License.

  • Minimum two years’ experience with students with disabilities and behavioral challenges.

  • Minimum two years’ experience with IEP creation and implementation.

  • Ability to work with cultural and socioeconomic diversity.

  • Availability for extended hours and travel.

  • Pass background check, drug screening, and physical exam, possess valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' unique needs and maintain behavioral records.

  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and stakeholders for individualized learning plans.

  • Perform consultations to address educational, behavioral, and social needs.

  • Supervise students during activities and provide guidance.

  • Maintain records of lesson plans and student performance.

  • Advise school personnel on care of special needs students.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and policies.

  • Participate in professional development activities.

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement them.

  • Coordinate with team for IEP documentation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to climb stairs.

  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods.

  • Frequent local travel.
