Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).

CDE License in Special Education generalist.

CDE Teaching License.
-
Minimum two years’ experience with students with disabilities and behavioral challenges.

Minimum two years’ experience with IEP creation and implementation.
-
Ability to work with cultural and socioeconomic diversity.
-
Availability for extended hours and travel.
-
Pass background check, drug screening, and physical exam, possess valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
-
Assess students' unique needs and maintain behavioral records.
-
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and stakeholders for individualized learning plans.
-
Perform consultations to address educational, behavioral, and social needs.
-
Supervise students during activities and provide guidance.
-
Maintain records of lesson plans and student performance.
-
Advise school personnel on care of special needs students.
-
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and policies.
-
Participate in professional development activities.
-
Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement them.
-
Coordinate with team for IEP documentation.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:

Ability to sit/stand for long periods.

Frequent local travel.
