Greenfield Central Community School District is Hiring a K-12 Technology Integration Specialist Near Greenfield, IN

Position: K-12 Technology Integration Specialist

Supervision: Reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent

Terms of Employment: 184 days

Salary: Based upon Teacher Pay Scale as established by the Board of School Trustees

Qualifications: Valid Indiana Teaching License

At least five years of successful teaching experience

Master’s Degree in Education or Degree in Technology Education Preferred

Technology Coaching Experience in a School Setting Preferred

Duties:

  • Assist with short-term and long-term technology integration planning and implementation in conjunction with the district and building leaders

  • Oversee K-12 classroom iPads and other corporation issued devices including training staff on use.

  • Support and implement software usage as needed to support instruction and assessment.

  • Develop and provide formal training sessions on technology integration in the classroom.

  • Observe teachers in their classrooms and offer insights for the enhancement of teaching-learning situations.

  • Model technology integration in the classroom and coach teachers with technology integration.

  • Demonstrate and facilitate the use of research-based technology integration strategies and best practices to address the needs of teachers, students and school goals.

  • Share resources and responsible use of artificial intelligence as a tool to assist both students and staff

  • Support the implementation of local, state and national assessment including IREAD, ILEARN, SAT, NWEA, Amplify, etc.

  • Assist technology department with troubleshooting on occasion

  • Collaborate with building principals in developing “best practices” training programs.

  • Assist in program revisions based upon evaluation data.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and ethical standards to advance the mission, goals, and policies of the Greenfield-Central CSC.

  • Assist Corporation Librarian in matching media resources with classroom technology integration needs.

  • Establish, maintain and enhance effective communication with administrators, teachers, parents and other stakeholders.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiation of instruction based upon student learning styles.

  • Knowledge of curriculum and concepts.

  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence in the educational landscape

  • Ability to be versatile and flexible in working with grades PreK-12 (both staff and students) and learn new information in an ever changing field.

  • Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.

  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.

  • Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.

  • Ability to organize and coordinate work.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.

  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.

  • Ability to carry 25 lbs.

  • Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.

  • Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed matter.

  • Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.

  • Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation.

  • Ability to operate office equipment.

  • Ability to reach in all directions.
