We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities. Your primary duties will include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas. The GVR Custodian works in small teams to ensure a clean, safe, and hospitable environment at all GVR facilities. GVR custodians maintain a variety of recreation spaces, including meeting rooms, locker rooms, fitness centers, picnic areas, sports courts, and hobby shops.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, and dusting of the indoor and outdoor facilities, per GVR policy/procedure.
• Follow daily protocols as well as the weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to ensure that all rooms, including fitness centers, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms and replenish supplies.
• Maintain proper inventory of materials and cleaning supplies, alerting supervisor when items are needed.
• Unload and stock supply deliveries.
• Comply with OSHA, local fire codes, and other regulations as required.
• Inspect facilities for safety hazards and other issues, request necessary repairs via online work order, and submit to the Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor as appropriate.
• Verify facilities and club areas are locked properly at the end of each shift.
• Troubleshoot and repair cleaning equipment malfunctions. Make minor repairs within scope of duty.
