Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and assistance to residents in assisted living facility.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Document care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the appropriate supervisor.
Experience:
- Previous experience in direct care or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care and knowledge of behavior management techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living setting is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow established care plans and procedures.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care to individuals with varying needs.
- Knowledge of personal care techniques, infection control protocols, and safety procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks accordingly.
