POSITION TITLE: Floor Person
DEPT: Production
REPORTS TO: Department Supervisor
Summary: Prepares production lines with proper cartons, pallets, stencil and/or labels as required. Ensure that all previous packaging materials are removed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical duties may include some or all of the following:
Clears production lines and sets up packaging for next job.
Marks all cartons with product and material lot information per process sheet.
Effectively communicates with supervisors and other production staff to increase efficiency, quality, and quantity of product.
Maintains a clean work area for an efficient and safe working environment.
Checks and removes scrap boxes as needed.
Visually inspects packaging for quality.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to follow directions and read and understand written instructions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Mental/Visual/Physical Demands:
Exposure to temperature changes due to weather conditions, noise, and dust. May be in contact with oil and other substances, which must be handled appropriately.
