Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in improving our accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, advanced technical proficiency, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement top-tier accounting policies, processes, and general ledger support to support company growth and scalability.
- Process accounts receivable cash receipts, credits, and debits, while monitoring customer credit limits and release orders from hold as necessary.
- Assist in updating and maintaining a cash flow model to support strategic decision-making.
- Serve as a strategic finance partner, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Track commissions, customer, and vendor rebates, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
- Collaborate with the COO to prepare monthly reporting packages, providing insights and analysis to support business decisions.
- Prepare and review ledger entries and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all financial transactions and reporting activities.
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an accounting manager or supervisor, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
- Ability to work with large data sets and perform complex data analysis.
- Deep knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
