PURPOSE
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager with the daily operations of
the dispensary. They perform the same duties as that of the Budtenders, but are the acting Store
Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable. The Assistant Store Manager’s primary goal is to
ensure that outstanding customer experiences are delivered, by demonstrating extensive knowledge of
the available products, always maintaining a positive attitude, and suggestive selling to our customers on
a wide variety of products available. The Assistant Store Manager is also responsible for ensuring
adequate shift coverage by adjusting their shift in order to cover staff absences.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
● The customer is the number 1 priority. Always keep the interaction positive, even if the customer may
not be.
● Maintaining extensive knowledge of our product offerings & various consumption methods, and
cannabis in general.
● Ability to constantly learn and discuss with customers the current and new products and their
respective characteristics
● Greeting customers in a timely and energetic manner & answering all customer questions.
● Maximize sales through suggestive selling and offerings of other products known or unknown to the
customer.
● Responsible for verifying age, accurate weighing, labeling, packaging of products being sold in
accordance of all State of Oregon laws for sale of Recreational & Medical Marijuana.
● Ensuring customer sales limits are never exceeded.
● Accurately using the POS system and following store protocol.
● Correct cash handling, change making and discount application.
● Store product organization, display and cleaning.
● Interacting with vendors, governmental officials, and customers in a professional manner.
● Answer customer phone calls in a friendly and timely manner.
● Listening to the customer and relaying product requests to upper management for potential sourcing.
● High energy & enthusiasm for the products, industry and company is a MUST.
● Accountable for accurate inventory control
● Responsible for proper use and maintenance of designated equipment
● To follow direction and complete tasks given by Management
Management
Ensure dispensary operations are prepared for service and customers daily
Ensure that all stations and team members are working effectively
Ensure staff are regularly refreshed on the State rules and regulations, company policy, sales
promotions and products available for sale
Manages display and stock inventory on sales floor and with the POS
Responsible for managing the movement of flower from the vault to the floor.

Makes recommendations of when to discontinue unsuccessful items and provides suggestions for
new products.
Represent the company in a professional manner at all the times
Maintains ATM balance and restock as needed for anticipated ATM usage
Model and train Budtenders of desired customer service skills and sales techniques
Accurately relay and give direction provided by Management
Maintain dispensary sales floor with product, ensure clean and safe for customers
Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
REQUIREMENTS
● Must be at least 21 years of age
● Great customer service skills
● Money handling skills
● Accountable and able to lead by example
● Extensive knowledge base of the dispensary products
● Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays
● Ability to stand and walk back and forth for long periods of time
● Have reliable transportation in order to arrive to the store on time and be ready to work at the start of
shift.
● Willingness to try products sold in the store
● At least basic marijuana knowledge with a desire to learn
● Understanding of the current OLCC Division 25 OAR rules for Recreational and Medical retails sales
and handling of cannabis products in Oregon
● Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment
● May not consume marijuana products during any times that would overlap with a scheduled shift.
● Must hold a valid Oregon Liquor Control Commission Recreational Marijuana License.
