Greater Philadelphia YMCA is Hiring a Workforce Development Director Near Conshohocken, PA

Your Impact:The primary responsibility of the Workforce Development Director will be to design, implement, and oversee workforce development programs aimed at enhancing the skills and employability of youth in the communities we serve. You will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction of our workforce development initiatives, focusing on creating opportunities for professional growth and advancement for youth. You will consistently travel between multiple branches/locations in the city of Philadelphia and Camden, NJ. What You'll Do:Coordinates and leads program strategy design.Plans programs and successfully executes them to meet the goals.Suggest and implement improvements to programs and services.Work collaboratively with Y operating areas to develop, implement, and maintain workforce development programs across the Greater Philadelphia YMCA.Work with development team to explore and promote opportunities for support/fundraising.Develops relationships with external partners, employers and participants including local businesses, schools, and community organizations to create employment experiences and opportunities for youth.Meets with stakeholders to communicate challenges and successes, ensuring transparency regarding the program.Coordinate with local high schools and Y operations to recruit teens for programming internships, apprenticeships, career and college pathways.Ensure quality programming by managing curriculum, participant progress, and associated staff.Identifies program locations.Develops a method to evaluate pilot program strengths and improvement areas, analyze results, and develops strategy for improvement.Provides status and progress reports on programs and participants.Assist with building a network of facilitators and partners to deliver content.Manages resources to ensure they are effectively utilized. What Qualifications You'll Need:Bachelor's degree required.5 years of experience working with workforce development concepts and initiatives.Experience in program planning, implementation, and management.Experience launching a new program in a targeted service area.Ability to travel between multiple branches/locations in the city of Philadelphia and Camden, NJ.Ability to develop and maintain relationships with community partners.Proven record of success in recruiting and engaging teens.Planning/resource management experience and strong organizational skills.Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.Superior analytical skills.Adaptable to change and ambiguity.Team player with ability to work autonomously. Our CultureAt the YMCA we value CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT, and RESPONSIBILITY in personal character and behavior and believe that they are essential to attaining our mission. Our MissionTo improve lives by connecting people to health, well-being, and to each other.
