Summary:
This position provides interpreting assistance to French speaking employees. The interpreter will provide interpretation services for various company processes and document translations. The interpreting services will include but not be limited to the following areas: assistance with Employment, Orientation, Training, Meetings, and Health Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualification Requirements:
Interpretation certification is preferred but not required.
Education and Experience:
PowerPoint and Internet-based web applications preferred; General Office Skills, including but not limited to filing, data entry, composition of letters and informational material; Excellent customer service. Ability to work without immediate supervision. Must have the ability to use computer software related to translation.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move around the facility through the Harvest, Fabrication, Ground beef, and Shipping Department. The employee must sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel/hold objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; speak, hear, taste, and smell. Employee may occasionally lift, push/pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
Work Environment:
The work environment is primarily in the plant on the production floors, with some time spent in a corporate setting. While performing this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cold and humid conditions. The employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, cold temperatures, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Typical Work Schedule: The schedule for this position is typically Monday - Friday. Weekend work is required as scheduled. Saturdays are generally scheduled.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal communication skills in both their dominant language and English. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess the skill set to communicate with others effectively and clearly within and outside of the Company.
