World Speaks is looking for:

In-Person K'iche' interpreters with flexible schedules, individuals who live in the Omaha Metro Area or surroundings.

K'iche' translators with flexible schedules, individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.

The nature of the position is On-Call (independent Contractor position.)

No minimum hours required.

Requirements:

Interpreters:

• Interpreters must be highly proficient in both English and Arabic.
• High School GED or Equivalent.
• Interpreter certification or 1 year experience interpreting in different settings.
• Excellent verbal skills.
• Flexible schedule.
• Reliable transportation.

Translators:

• Translators must be highly proficient in both English and Arabic.
• High School GED or Equivalent.
• Translation certification or 1 year experience translating in formal settings.
• Excellent writing, and grammar skills, manage Microsoft Office programs and other translator formats like .POT.
• Flexible schedule.

World Speaks works together with the members of our community to eliminate language barriers and increase cultural awareness in the Omaha Metro community. We need to increase our reach and ability to help bridge these gaps.
