Summary: Will enter, review, and maintain interpreting service requests using our online request platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the LIFESIGNS Dispatch Supervisor, the LIFESIGNS Data Entry Clerk will:

1. Receive interpreting service requests
2. Enter and submit job requests into our dispatching platform;
3. Verify appropriate invoicing and customer needs are met for all assignments;
4. Confirm with agencies that interpreter has been assigned via email, fax or phone call.
5. Perform such tasks and responsibilities as may be delegated.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer a minimum of 2 years’ data entry experience; Knowledge of Microsoft Word; Excellent typing ability; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with deadlines; Must be a self-starter, flexible and a resourceful team player; Must be able to handle confidential situations; Have the ability to work independently, take initiative and thrive under pressure in a fast paced environment; Must have a professional demeanor, including phone manners and excellent interpersonal skills; Must be knowledgeable of office procedures; Must be punctual and reliable.

Employee will be exposed to other employees using American Sign Language, so the ability to work with a diverse, multi-ethnic population is a must. Employee must be capable of maintaining a cooperative relationship with co-employees, directors, employers and the CEO.
