SUMMARY

Serve as Professional Land Surveyor to perform boundary and topographic surveying projects. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to Survey Team Leader.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform and oversee the development of boundary and topographic surveys using a variety of surveying methods.
  • Supervise and provide technical and project managerial support to assigned surveyors and technicians.
  • Perform Business Development functions such as sales to existing and new Clients.
  • Act as Project Manager and Project Surveyor on projects as required to meet Team and company needs.
  • Help train and mentor surveyors, technicians and supporting staff.
  • Coordinate with other company staff as required.
  • Be an example to aspire to within the Team, the Company and our Client base.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURELicensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in Missouri and other states as required for projects.

The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Riding and/or driving in a vehicle is commonly required for up to 6 hours at a time.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Most work weeks will be 40 or more hours. Hours are somewhat flexible and some late evenings and/or weekends may be required.

TRAVELThere may be occasional overnight travel for this position. Some local day travel may also be required.
