Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Intake Coordinator for a Substance Abuse Residential Facility. As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the intake process and ensuring the smooth flow of patients through our facility. This is a vital role in providing excellent patient care and maintaining efficient operations.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and complete registration
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
- Maintain electronic medical records using eClinicalWorks or similar software
- Assist with medical billing and insurance claims processing
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care
Skills:
- Must be RN, BSN preferred
- Previous experience working in managed care for behavioral health
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems such as KIPU or Sunwave
- Familiarity with substance abuse and behavioral health
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
