Summary

Our proprietary GMR-AI™ software is integrated with state-of-the-art industrial robots, sensors, and tools to create application-specific turnkey solutions for customers through a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.
We help manufacturers improve the quality of life for their workforce while increasing production capacity, and reducing scrap, repair, and rework costs. As a Controller you will join our Finance department onsite in our Gardena, CA office to oversee our financial operations while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, reporting, and analysis - for internal reviews as well as for investors and other external partners.
  • Develop and maintain documented financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and variance analyses on a monthly basis, providing strategic insights and recommendations to all departments.
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Maintain, automate and optimize all recurring Journal Entries and own all supporting schedules. Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure timely completion and compliance.
  • Ensure timely completion of annual tax filings, including sales tax and specific state tax requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
  • ERP implementation, including automation of back-end systems and processes.
  • Initially manage outsourced bookkeeping and tax preparation contractors.
  • Manage multiple debt facilities and credit lines, including timing of draws, amortization schedules, facility expansions and reporting.
  • Support Procurement department with vendor negotiations.
  • Continue to improve auditable Inventory management and inventory accounting processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on audits - either working at, or working with, a large accounting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
  • Licensed CPA.
  • Experience with software and hardware accounting principles.
  • Experience with physical inventory and hardware leasing.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including but not limited to Expensify, Bill.com and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (Netsuite, Sage-Intacct).
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track record of prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and meeting tight deadlines as demonstrated through past experience.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities.
  • Must secure work authorization in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently has or in the process of obtaining an MBA in Finance or similar.
  • Experience with subscription models and/or SaaS and/or RaaS.
  • Experience working in both multinational firms and startups.
  • Experience with lease models.

Compensation for this position includes the base salary range of $165,000 - $185,000 USD plus equity. The range listed on job postings reflect the minimum and maximum new hire salary across levels in Los Angeles, CA.
