We areseeking a dedicated, self motivated individual to perform manual and machineoperator tasks in the maintenance, and operation of an automatic cutter in ourDigital Production department.This is a temporary part time position on 3rd Shift working Wednesday night and Thursday night from 11:00pm – 7:15am. The length of the position will be dependent upon production need, up to mid-September. There may be opportunities for permanent placement at the end of the temporary position.

Essential Functions:

Takescutting orders of printed jobs and sets up cutter in accordance withinstructions. 

Operates paper cutter to cut and trim blank stock and printedmaterial that is to be further processed in the digital printing area.

Logs binderyactivity into costing system after completion of each job.

Ensuresaccuracy of trimming for high quality product.

Performs preventative maintenance on papercutting machinery such as lubrication and waxing. Replaces cutter knives asneeded.

Assists in clean up and keeps immediate workarea neat and orderly.

Complies with safety standards and regulationsrequired my OSHA/MiOSHA.

Performs other duties as requested.

• Operation of a cutting equipment
• Basic mathematical skills (i.e. dimensions,quantities, fractions)

• Strong attention to detail
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment & PhysicalRequirements

• Temperature of manufacturing plant can becomehumid and hot
• Daily exposure to paper dust, ink, solvents,oils, solutions, and other chemicals. Gloves are required and offered whenworking with chemicals.
• Operating equipment having various moving parts
• Follow general safety guidelines and procedureswhen working with and around machinery
• Operates hydraulic foot pedal repeatedly tooperate paper clamp mechanism
