Grand Tradition is Hiring a Banquet Server Near Fallbrook, CA

Job Summary:
This position is accountable for creating a great experience for every guest. This position requires a general knowledge of the job, hard work, and great social skills. Must have open availability during week and weekends.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Proper set up and break down of tables, chairs, silverware, glasses etc. for a special event.
2. Greet persons entering organization with a cheerful disposition.
3. Provide excellent customer service, and knowledge of your job.
4. Work as a team member to assure a successful banquet event.
5. Direct guests to appropriate areas and provide assistance by explaining room layout and event details
6. Serve food and/or appetizers with an accurate description of foods offered.
7. Transport service items from the back of the house into function area.
8. Clean and maintain stations: empty ashtrays, remove trash, wipe tables, remove empty glasses, push in chairs, etc.
9. Maintain standards of sanitation, bar and personal hygiene and cleanliness, as well as beverage service techniques and safety all with regard to the safe handling of food and beverage products for guests' consumption.
10. Scheduling flexibility including ability to work weekends, holidays and/or overnight, based upon scheduling and business needs
11. Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position's job description, where, in the Company's judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

Job Specifications:
1. Work requires the ability to cheerfully communicate with customers to provide an environment that is welcoming and friendly.
2. Work requires expert knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
3. Work requires knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
4. Work requires intermediate knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
5. Works requires the knowledge of Grand Tradition product and service offerings in order to clearly and accurately communicate with potential customers the value of such products and services.
6. Work requires a thorough knowledge of department policies, practices, and operations, and oral communication skills to perform routine administrative duties such as arranging meetings, responding to routine inquiries from telephone callers or visitors, and gathering background information for routine reports.
7. Work requires the ability to analyze routine administrative details of limited complexity such as resolving minor scheduling conflicts of tours, assignment of event coordinator events, and other conflicts.
8. Work requires professional personal presentation as stated in company policy manual.
9. Banquet Server is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
10. The Banquet Server is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
11. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and enter walk-ins of -10 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit with or without assistance. Must handle heat from cooking appliances, glassware and washing machines. Requires normal or corrected vision range, with the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols and ability to talk, hear, and communicate effectively with guests. Ability to stand for duration of shift walk frequently, bend and/or reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance (stand, sit, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp).

The above knowledge and skills normally are acquired through completion of a high school education. This knowledge is also acquired within two months of on-the-job training.
